Elementary Curriculum

There are many great tools and curricula to use for the Elementary level, and our list includes some tried and true oldies but goodies as well as many you may be unfamiliar with. Because we Blue Collar folks might be a bit more budget conscious than others, every effort has been made to list curriculum that is quite reasonably priced and will help you start your child's education off strong, without being overblown or too pricey. While it shouldn't take a fortune to educate your children, we all recognize that sometimes, a higher cost does indeed mean a better curriculum, but often it doesn't. We've tried to create a little variety in our recommendations, utilizing internet, textbook, worktext, and other kinds of resources
So take a moment to meander through our suggestions, you might be surprised to learn there are many more options out there than are presented at the conventions!

In order to be listed in our curriculum lists, materials have to meet certain criteria:
- It must be uncomplicated to teach with.
- It must be as neutral as possible in terms of world view/religious perspectives. If it is not neutral, it must be an exceptionally good resource and be easy to "neutralize" and be able to be used by people of all faiths. This does not mean there is no mention of religion, but that religious training is not a key component of the curriculum.
- It must provide a good education which would fully prepare a student for the real world. Not all of the curriculum suggestions would be appropriate for the college bound student, but then not every student is headed for college and their needs should not be ignored as they so often are.
